Welcome to AstroGrid

Launch of Space Shuttle sts-82-1 (NASA) AstroGrid is the doorway to the Virtual Observatory (VO). We provide a suite of desktop applications to enable astronomers to explore and bookmark resources from around the world, find data, store and share files in VOSpace, query databases, plot and manipulate tables, cross-match catalogues, and build and run scripts to automate sequences of tasks. Tools from other Euro-VO projects inter-operate with AstroGrid software, so you can also view and analyse images and spectra located in the VO.

These web pages hold our software for downloading, as well as links to other people's software. They also provide the help documentation, and other support material such as FAQs and the Helpdesk ticket system.

Latest software : We are pleased to announce a new version of VODesktop (V1.2.3.1), released on June 5th 2009. There are a number of improvements including a new "Multi Query" capability to search archive(s) for a list of positions. AstroGrid Python remains at V1.04 (February 2009) for more advanced scripting. The most recent version of Topcat is V3.4-1 (27 March 2009). Technical users (data centres and developers) who are interested in our server component suite will find the latest version (V2008.2) at deployer.astrogrid.org.

Previous versions of our software will still be available for some time: see previous Astrogrid releases.
