AstroGrid Science Call May 2006

The supported programmes from the May 2006 Tools Call

The AstroGrid Science Advisory Group, at its meeting of Jun-2006 selected the following three proposals to be supported through the AstroGrid May 2006 Tools Call

  • An Archive for the IPHAS survey Janet Drew (Imperial), Robert Griemel (ING), Mike Irwin (IoA, Cambridge), IPHAS/VPHAS Consortium
    • The IPHAS Initial Data Release was published utilising AstroGrid software, for details see Gonzalez-Solares et al, 2008 MNRAS in press (see a-ph0712.0384)
  • VO-enabling the XMM Cluster Survey Bob Mann (University of Edinburgh), XMM Cluster Survey Consortium
    • XCS data products will be available via the AstroGrid VODesktop when the final catalogue is published.
  • VOTada: VO Tools for the use of Atomic Data for Astrophysics Giulio Del Zanna (University College London), Peter Young (Rutherford Appleton Laboratory), Helen Mason (University of Cambridge)
    • The Chianti database is now accessible through AstroGrid and the VO.

Each group gave a presentation at the June 2007 AstroGrid Consortium Meeting - look there for the presentations describing the work undertaken.
