Login/Logout

In order to login to your VO Space account select Login from the VO Desktop menu. A new window will appear asking you for your credentials. If you do not have a username and password click on the Not got an account? link. This will open a new message window in your default mail application in which you will need to write your name and institution. The email will be sent to astrogrid_signup@star.le.ac.uk and you will get back a confirmation email with your username and password. Then enter your login details: community is the name of the community you have your user registered with. Then insert your user and password and click on OK.

Note that it is not necessary to login into the system using this procedure before starting to use VO Desktop. Whenever it is necessary to access your VO Space the application will prompt you to login if you haven't done so. Note also that this will only happen once per session unless you select Logout from the menu.
