Edit

The first section of this menu allows you to delete resources from your static lists or to copy resources from a smart or static list to another static list. Select one or more resource from one list with the mouse and click on Edit->Copy. Alternatively you can select all resources in a list by clicking Edit->Select All or invert the selection using Edit->Invert selection. Then select the static list you want to copy those resources to and click Edit->Paste. Note this operation can be also be done by dragging the selected resources to the static list using the mouse. The Edit->Cut option allows you the delete resources from static lists (this option is not allowed in smart lists since these are dynamically generated from the result of a query).

The second section of the menu provides access to the general preferences window (see preferences) Preferences as well as provides a quick link to reset the configuration settings using Reset configuration. Finally Clear cache removes all cache data, registry entries, cached queries, etc.

Preferences

This panel is available from the Edit menu and it is common to all applications and it allows you to modify the different settings of VO Desktop. For more details on changing the preferences, please read the preferences documentation. Note for Mac OS X users: the preferences options are found under the org.astrogrid.VODesktop menu.
