Helpdesk Ticket System
We provide a system by which users can submit tickets reporting problems, which can be solved by AstroGrid staff. As well as solving individual problems, recurring issues will gradually find their way into the FAQ section. However, before you raise a ticket, make sure you really need to...
Before raising a ticket
- read the documentation in the Help section
- consult the FAQ
- consult the Known Issues.
- look at existing tickets in case someone has reported something similar recently
View and create tickets
To create a new ticket, you need to create a Helpdesk account and login. (The "Helpdesk account" is not the same as your "Community account" ...). To simply view existing tickets however you don't need to login. So here is what you can do :
- view existing tickets (doesn't require login)
- raise a new ticket (must be already logged in)
- login (assuming you have a Helpdesk account)
- register (create a Helpdesk account)
- reset password (request a new password)
Check progress and update tickets
If you want to check the progress of an existing ticket, or edit the details of one of your currently open tickets, goto view existing tickets and click on All tickets reported by myself. This will ask you to login.
If you just want to browse tickets, goto view existing tickets and click on Active Tickets by Version or All tickets by verson (including closed). Note that when in the ticket-viewing system, you can re-order tickets by clicking on the columns.
