Summary of VO Resource Columns
- Short Name: A short name provided for the resource e.g. "2MASS-PSC" is the short name for the "2MASS All-Sky Point Source Catalog".
- Subject: The subject of the resource e.g. survey, infra-red astronomy etc.
- Publisher: The publisher of the resource e.g. AstroGrid.
- Creator: The individual or group who created the data. Sometimes this column will contain the same name as the Publisher column and sometimes it will be left blank.
- IVOA-ID: The IVORN or International Virtual Observatory Resource Name of the VO Resource.
- Source Reference: Journal reference for e.g. a catalogue, where available.
- Waveband: Waveband of resource where supplied/appropriate.
- Type: A textual description of the service provided by the VO Resource as opposed to the graphical representation of the service provided in the "Capabilities" column. For more information, read the section above describing the "Capabilities" column.
- Flagging: Individual VO Resources may be "flagged" so that the more useful resources are easier to find in the lists (information on how to do this is included in the Actions and About pane). When a resource has been flagged, a
will appear for it in this column.
- Title: The title of the VO Resource.
- Capability: Describes the type of service or services that the VO Resource provides; each icon represents a different type of service. Please see Summary of VO Resource Capabilities to find out which icon refers to which type of service.
- Validation: An evaluation via a numeric grade that indicates the quality of the resource description, when applicable, to be used to indicate the confidence an end-user can put in the resource as part of a VO application or research study. Note that this is not yet implemented for most resources.
- Date: The date that the VO Resource was last updated.
- Tags: Any user supplied tags entered via the Tage window of the Annotation section of the Information pane will appear here.
